A Thank You Letter to Greenville County Law Enforcement:

This morning, associates from Bannister, Wyatt & Stalvey law firm attended the Allen Jacobs Memorial Prayer Breakfast at Bob Jones University in honor of the one-year anniversary of Officer Allen Jacobs, who lost his life in the line of duty. The Prayer Breakfast raises support for a scholarship bearing his name that assists Bob Jones University students majoring in Criminal Justice. Last year’s fundraiser raised over $50,000.

“We were honored to share in a time of prayer for, and dedication to, some of Greenville’s finest law enforcement professionals,” shared Jim Bannister, Managing Partner at Bannister, Wyatt & Stalvey law firm.

The Memorial Prayer Breakfast also provides the opportunity to recognize Greenville County Law Enforcement professionals and their agencies who protect and serve our citizens as well as officers who were presented with service awards, including the Allen Jacobs Award of Valor, Public Safety Employee of the Year, Award of Merit and the Distinguished Achievement Award.

To further recognize Greenville’s law enforcement community, Bob Jones University lit up its main fountain in blue and flew “thin blue line” flags on its 24 flagpoles at the center of campus.

“The entire event and atmosphere were incredibly touching,” Leigh McGill, Office Manager at Bannister, Wyatt and Stalvey said. “It served as a great reminder of just how far our law enforcement is willing to go to keep our families safe and we are honored to have the chance to give just a little something back to them.”

It is moments of remembrance and reflection like this morning’s breakfast that remind us how blessed we are to be protected by, and work alongside, individuals of such high character and moral fiber that would be willing to lay down their lives for us and our loved ones. We have a special appreciation for the sacrifices they make on a regular basis. Their courage and bravery remains unrivaled and the hallmarks of their badges. While we might be in different roles within the law community, we ultimately work together and strive for a safer Greenville and justice for all. The Bannister, Wyatt & Stalvey law firm was honored to acknowledge our partners in blue and thank them for their dedication and service to the Greenville community.
