Bio
Elizabeth McCool is a Partner at Bannister, Wyatt & Stalvey whose practice focuses on her genuine passion for family law and helping others. Elizabeth graduated magna cum laude from the University of South Carolina Honors College with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. She continued her education by receiving an MBA from Gardner Webb University and her law degree from the University of South Carolina. She is also a 2025 Graduate of the National Family Law Trial Institute.
Elizabeth understands that involvement in family court can be a trying and emotional experience. She is committed to guiding each client with both skill and compassion through this difficult time of life. She handles all types of domestic actions ranging from separation, divorce, custody/visitation modification, child support modifications, alimony modifications, enforcement/contempt actions, step-parent adoptions, termination of parental rights, and grandparent visitation actions. Elizabeth regularly handles cases with complex issues including division of high asset estates, business valuations, transmutation of assets, and cases with custody or psychological evaluations.
She is a member of the SC Bar Publications Committee and the SC Family Law Inn of Court. Elizabeth served as co-coordinator of the SC Bar’s Upstate Cinderella Project from 2020-2022 and served as Greenville County Bar Year End CLE Family Law Section Chair in 2023 and 2025. She has been named to South Carolina Legal Elite of the Upstate: Family Law for 8 years and has earned a Martindale-Hubbell® Peer Review Rating™ of AV Preeminent® — the highest recognition for professional excellence.
An Upstate native and Greenville, SC local, Elizabeth enjoys spending her free time with her husband and children, on the golf course, sampling local cuisine, and reading.
