Richard Christian Capps grew up in Easley, South Carolina. He is a 2014 Graduate of The Citadel, Military College of South Carolina where he earned his bachelor’s degree. In 2019, Mr. Capps obtained his Juris Doctorate from the University of South Carolina, School of Law in Columbia, South Carolina. He is also a commissioned officer in the South Carolina National Guard and has happily served his home state for the past five years. His desire to benefit his community is what led Mr. Capps to join the National Guard and to become an attorney.
While attending law school, Mr. Capps served as the Technology Editor for the American Bar Association: Real Property, Trust & Estates Law Journal, served as the Parliamentarian for the Student BAR Association, and served as the President of the Health Law Society. He also had the opportunity to become a published author during his final year of law school. His article, Modern Day Meals on Wheels: The Food Truck Surge, was published last year in the September 2018 edition of the S.C. Lawyer Magazine.
In his spare time, Mr. Capps is an avid sports fan, enjoys spending time with his friends and family, and enjoys experiencing new restaurants and activities throughout Greenville and the Upstate.
