Each year, Greenville Business Magazine recognizes 50 men and women whose leadership, vision, and service have played a meaningful role in shaping the Upstate’s continued growth and vitality. Honorees are selected through extensive staff research and community nominations, with particular emphasis on contributions made over the past 12 months across fields including law, finance, health care, and nonprofit leadership.
We are proud to share that partner Bruce Bannister has been named to the publication’s annual list of the Upstate’s 50 Most Influential People.
Bruce’s practice focuses on family law, complex civil litigation and eminent domain. In addition to his legal work, he has served in the South Carolina House of Representatives since 2005. Bruce currently serves as Chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee. From 2012 to 2016, he served as Majority Leader for the South Carolina House Republican Caucus.
A graduate of Davidson College and the University of South Carolina School of Law, Bannister has also demonstrated a longstanding commitment to civic and nonprofit leadership. He has served on the boards of the Peace Center, the Children’s Museum of the Upstate, and A Child’s Haven.
