Jim Bannister is named among the Legal Elite in the area of Criminal Defense Law. His practice consists of criminal defense, white-collar criminal defense and DUI defense in Upstate South Carolina. Bannister has tried numerous felony cases in both Federal and State Courts and holds notable experience in cases involving Drugs and Narcotics, RICO, Internet Crimes, White Collar Crime, Security Fraud, Tax Evasion, Murder, Criminal Sexual Conduct, Criminal Domestic Violence, and DUI. Bruce Bannister was named among the Legal Elite in the practice of Family Law. As a firm partner, he focuses on Family Law, Eminent Domain, and Real Estate Law. He has tried cases involving Personal Injury, Premises Liability, Eminent Domain, Education Law, Residential Real Estate, Commercial Real Estate, Government, Zoning, Planning, and Land Use. In addition to his private practice, Bannister serves as the SC House District 24 Representative since 2005, where he sits on the Judiciary Committee and was elected House Majority Leader. Jack McDonald is recognized among the Legal Elite in the area of Real Estate Law. McDonald is an associate at Bannister, Wyatt & Stalvey, and focuses on commercial and residential real estate transactions. He also handles foreclosures, collections and probate law. He was admitted to the South Carolina Bar Association in 2000 after receiving his law degree from the University of South Carolina. Upon graduation, Mr. McDonald served as law clerk for the Honorable Wyatt T. Saunders, Jr., Judge for the Eighth Judicial Circuit. Following his clerkship, he was an Associate at Hawkins, Richardson & Associates P.C. and Wendell L. Hawkins, P.A. Throughout his career, Mr. McDonald has continued to concentrate his practice on real estate. McDonald is a Greenville native and continues to remain active within the community.
Since 2012, Greenville Business Magazine has honored the area’s most respected attorneys through publishing the Legal Elite.
